Evacuation

If the fire alarm sounds or you are otherwise notified to evacuate the building, exit via the stairwells. Exit at Floor 1 and rendezvous with your employees on the surface parking lot on the east side of the building. Ensure all employees and visitors are accounted for.

There are three emergency escape stairwells in the 401 Southcrest building. All empty onto the first floor near a designated emergency exit. Listed below are the specific routes to take in the event of a fire alarm or other emergency that requires building evacuation

  1. North Stairwell – Descend the stairwell to first floor and proceed to the left out of the building through the emergency exit stairwell door. Proceed to the surface parking lot on the west side of the building and await further instructions.

  1. South Stairwell – Descend the stairwell to the first floor and proceed to the right out of the building through the emergency exit stairwell door. If these doors are blocked, proceed to the left through the lobby and exit through either the east or west lobby entrance doors. Proceed to the surface parking lot on the west side of the building and await further instructions.

  1. Center Stairwell – Descend the stairwell to the first floor and proceed to the left through the lobby and exit through either the east or west lobby entrance doors. Proceed to the surface parking lot on the west side of the building and await further instructions.
